Poppleton III is the 3rd phase of Hampstead's comprehensive redevelopment effort on Baltimore City’s West Side adjacent to the University of Maryland’s 800,000 SF Bio Park.  The mixed use/income effort encompassed the redevelopment of 6 blocks of distressed affordable housing, Elements included the preservation of Section 8 housing, a joint venture with a local affordable housing coop, the assemblage and demolition of adjacent units to make room for new housing, moving an existing Section 8 rental assistance contract, implementation and approval of a new land plan on a portion of one site to make room for commercial development and special needs housing.

Phase III is to consist of 32 new units of to be constructed on land primarily utilized for city owned housing authority units in the past.
